ACIM: "What You See"

Jesus, through the Course, tells us: "What you see reflects what you think, and what you think is nothing but a reflection of what you want to see." Simple, concise.
What are you thinking about?
What do you want to see?
Two excellent questions for you to put into practice.
And he uses a word that no one notices: "reflects." What does he mean by "reflects"? Or, is it a reflection of what?
He's talking about your subconscious. That's where the programs, the wrong decisions, that make your life what it is are. Situations from your childhood, adolescence, or even adulthood. The remedy is Atonement; there is no other. From this, it follows that many disciplines cannot transform your life, or change you, or make you stop being who you are and become who you truly are.
Is Atonement Jesus? He often needs an instrument, a teacher of God on earth, to help you Atone. Simple and concise.

ACIM and the different mindsets it mentions.

Throughout this text, you will find, or have already found, information about different mindsets. We will briefly summarize them to help clarify them for you, or rather, for us.
Open Mindset: This implies having a receptive mindset to the fact that there are different interpretations and perceptions than our own.
Faulty Mindset: This refers to all the thoughts, perceptions, and interpretations that come from the ego.
Miraculous or True Mindset: This is the mindset that comes from God.
One Mindset: This is the so-called miraculous mindset. It is called One because it comes from God. Thinking as God thinks.

Understanding A Course in Miracles: Can You Atone for Your Past Generations?

Can you Atone for past mistakes?
The answer is no. All the patterns passed down to you from generation to generation can only be atoned for by moving forward, never backward. I mean, you can't do anything about your great-grandmother's patterns. That's her business. But you can atone for your children. By changing yourself, and keeping in mind that there's no better example than leading by example, your children will see a change in you and learn from this new "you" that you are now.
The Bible says it very directly. Even the third or fourth generation will pay for the mistakes of their ancestors. Change the word "pay" to "receive." It sounds different.
Remember, it's always from the here and now forward, never backward.

ACIM. Falsehoods that Jesus did not teach you in the original course and that were added to it.

I invite you to read this sitting down; you won't believe it, but a part of you will say, "It's true."
The Course repeatedly states that God cannot see sleep. This is an addition from those who came after Helen and her assistant.
It's so obvious that only someone who isn't in their right mind could come up with it, and it seems there are many of them because they continue to teach it this way.
If God cannot see His Son's sleep, then why does He elaborate on the Holy Spirit? It doesn't make sense. If God said, "My Son fell asleep," how did He know? If He can't see that? If the Holy Spirit is in charge of waking us up (which is correct), and one of His functions is to translate what is happening to us to God, what does He translate if God cannot see sleep? Does God need to be translated? Or doesn't He know? He is God!
Do you realize? They lied to you throughout the entire book. The worst part is that they put Jesus' own words into his own. According to the Course, these are the sick children of God.
In Reality (with a capital R), God does see your sleep, but He doesn't stop seeing you, just as He created us. He extended Himself through the Holy Spirit so that He could awaken us. The Course calls Him the great Comforter.
If God can't see our sleep, what would be the purpose of the Lord's Prayer? Jesus didn't say Holy Spirit; He said Our Father.
I ask you from the bottom of my heart not to believe the story told by many people who put their own interests into something Jesus said: "This is the Gospel I would have liked you to have."
Jesus knew what could happen, and He explains it when, in the Course, He tells you to question everything, even Him. Jesus was ahead of his time. And He also said it when He said words can be twisted. The problem is that they not only twisted them but also added to them. And they not only added to them but also changed and removed things. This probably sounds familiar to you, like what happens with Bibles. It's a shame.

A Course in Miracles. What do you think about this?

The course teaches us by saying: I (Jesus) am the only one who can work miracles impartially because I am the Atonement. You have a role in the Atonement, which I will show you. Ask me what miracles should be performed. This will save you time and unnecessary effort because you will be acting under direct communication.
Much to learn, or rather, unlearn.
The first thing that stands out is the conviction with which he speaks. Without beating around the bush, he gets straight to the point, and how much humility he shows in considering his role. He even tells you, "I am the Atonement," I am the remedy, and I am the one who puts it into action.
Then he tells you to ask him. No unnecessary effort.
And to conclude, he tells you: "You will be acting under direct communication. No asking anyone, no doubts, no intermediaries. Just you and him, and no one else."
Then he says: "A guide doesn't control, but he does direct." He is telling you that he is directing you.
And then it says: leaving it up to you whether you follow it or not.
It's, you follow me or you don't, you choose. There are no middle grounds. Black and white. No shades of gray. As many say.
Why does it tell you this? Because you can't decide for yourself. You decide from the ego. There are no other alternatives. If it comes from the ego or the Holy Spirit, it's good, and only what is good works; everything else comes from the ego, and that's why we end up like this. That's why it's "the other way."

ACIM. For I am still as God created me.

In this fast-paced world, where we're so busy trying to solve our problems in this dream, a phrase like the one in the title can move you a little or a lot, depending on your interpretation.
Quiet down for a moment and tell yourself, "I am still as God created me."
Beyond what you think is happening to you, remember that God is a Reality and that you are still as He created you: free, happy, full of joy, and above all, filled with His Love. Be still. Stop thinking about everything for a while and quiet your mind, even if just for a moment, and remember that beyond everything that seems to be happening to you, YOU ARE STILL AS GOD CREATED YOU.
Everything else is your programming, your beliefs, your interpretations, and your perceptions of the situation. However: I am still as God created me, and that alone cannot change; you will always be this way.

A Course in Miracles. What you see reflects what you think...

The complete phrase is: WHAT YOU SEE REFLECTS WHAT YOU THINK, AND WHAT YOU THINK IS NOTHING BUT A REFLECTION OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE.
We can say that in the first part of the phrase, the important word is "think," since what I see is a reflection of what I think. In the second part, the important word is "want," since what I want is what I think. Let's change the word "want" to "will."
Wanting implies not having, and that is impossible. If we look for a better word, it could be "desire." While it positions us from a different place, it still doesn't suffice. But the word "will" is something else entirely. "Thy will be done" doesn't say what you want, nor what you desire.
Do we act according to what the Course teaches us?
Many people say: I don't know what I want, but I know what I don't want. What is the reason you think about what you don't want? It doesn't make sense. I think about what my will is. Remember that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Put your thoughts in order and consider what your true will is, focusing on what you desire and what you don't. This is an important step.

Not everything is so explicit in the course, but with a little right thinking and the help of the Holy Spirit, plus Jesus through the course, there's no way you can lose. You're probably saying to yourself, "I'm tired of losing," or maybe the word is "giving in." It doesn't matter.
Remember, we're talking about programs. You might be wondering about programs from your past life; they're not important. The solution is here and now. Does that sound like karma? Actually, your karma is recorded, but you don't have to go back to past lives; this one is already serving you. The Holy Spirit guides you, and as you atone, you resolve your karmas without even realizing it. These karmas, when you atone, are also undone, and new ones are "written," which you undo, or if you prefer, atone for. Don't look beyond this dream, which is enough to get rid of everything from the past.
Did you notice that I capitalized the word "Atone"? This is because it belongs to the realm of God, and everything that belongs to Him is capitalized.
There is a kind of atonement, lowercase, that belongs to the ego, and obviously it's useless, since the premise of your ego, as well as mine, is that you seek and you will not find.

The programs, your programs.
Many times, the things and situations that happen to us in this world are things we don't want to experience; in fact, we don't understand why they happen to us. We ask ourselves questions like, "Why is this happening to me?" "Don't I deserve this?" It's always the same. "I don't know what else to do," and all the other phrases you can think of. Nobody has a definitive answer. You go to many places trying to understand. But as the Course says, the ego wants you to search and not find.
The Course gives you the solution, the remedy that God gave us. It explains it very clearly and precisely.
Programs. What are these programs? The answer is simple. As you grow up, you go through situations in your life—it can be any situation you experience—and you create a program for yourself. That program keeps popping up, and you can't avoid it; it's there, buried deep inside, without you even realizing it. Let me give you an example. Your father is or was a dictator; you have to survive that. One day you lower your head and the problem is solved; the shouting disappears, even the hitting, and you decide to do nothing to prevent it all. Two programs. One tells you to lower your head, the other tells you to do nothing. The thing is, at that moment you weren't able to see other solutions. Are you to blame? Of course not.
Life goes on, your programs continue, and you don't understand what's happening. You hear other people tell you: don't lower your head and do something with your life. You try, but the program(s) are there, and on top of that, there's that feeling of constant failure. I can't take it anymore.
The solution is in the Course. Atone for the programs. Programs you don't even know are there. You have to learn to atone. Seek and find. There are many things you can atone for yourself; for others, you may need a teacher from God to help you.
To atone means to undo. Undo the program. Only Jesus can do that. I just don't believe in him. He's not important. You want to improve, and he responds happily.

Getting to know ACIM.

What is A Course in Miracles (ACIM)?
ACIM is a book, dictated by Jesus to Helen Schucman, who was assisted in the transcription by William Thetford.
What is its purpose?
To return to God.
What does it postulate?
The Course summarizes it as follows:
Nothing real can be threatened,
nothing unreal exists.
In this lies the Peace of God.
What are its basic concepts?
Its basic concepts are: Reality, unreality, God, the Holy Spirit, Atonement, the ego, and perception.
How was it dictated?
Helen called it an inner dictation.
Is it necessary to do the lessons it proposes?
That varies according to your goals. If what you want is to be a teacher of God, the answer is yes.
If you simply want a different way of seeing the world and understanding why certain situations happen to you, as well as a broader perspective, and you don't intend to draw closer to God, then you don't need to take the lessons it proposes.
What is its central idea?
Atonement, God's remedy for overcoming or transcending the ego.
Who is it for?
All human beings?
What does your prosperity, relationships, or life situation depend on?
It depends on your programs, wrong decisions, lack of love that you have shown or that has been shown to you, patterns.
What is a miracle?
It is a change in your thinking induced by Jesus.
To whom is it given?
To all those who need it.
The Course says: You have a great capacity to endure pain, but it is not unlimited. A day will come when you think there is another way, another path.
And then he says: Did you think you could be wrong?

26Jan

I'll give you other examples of changes.

Human beings have always thought themselves superior to Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
Jesus left us a prayer. In the course, it's called the prayer of forgiveness; we know it as the Lord's Prayer. Beyond the title, the prayer was changed. What happened is that the church couldn't accept that Jesus said at the end, "deliver us from evil." How could it end with the word "evil"? Obviously, childish thinking, and a lack of humility. If the prayer ends that way, it's for a reason. So they decided to add: "For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever, Jesus." If He has power forever, why do you think you have the power to change the prayer?
This gets worse. They changed the Hail Mary too. It was dictated by Jesus. It begins with what the angel said to Mary. It's correct up to where Jesus says. And then the church adds the words "sins" and "death" and "pray." Do you understand what I'm saying? Let's go to the second part so I can be clearer.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
All wrong. Then they say the Lord's Prayer can't end with the word "wrong," when they themselves are the ones who do and have done everything wrong.
First. Mother of God, no, Mother of Jesus and our Mother.
Second. Pray, no, always praying to God. These guys are endless. The word is a guide.
Third. It's like, "Pray for us now," And when we die. But Jesus proved that death doesn't exist.
Let's go with the original Hail Mary.
Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother,
guide us now and forever,
until our return to God. Amen.
